Dharaa Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (“Jiffy Cars”) is the owner and publisher of the cyberspace resource www.jiffycars.in and it’s mobile website ‘Jiffy Cars’ (together hereinafter referred to as the, “Website”). Jiffy Cars Website is a tech platform for showcasing licensed (licensed car for hire ) self drive cars of certified vendors for purpose of hiring for a consideration.

All terms and conditions framed in this document / links are framed as per the Jiffy’s Certified Vendors T&C and hereby adhered to Rules and Regulations framed by Its Certified Vendors

Nature and Applicability of Terms

Please carefully go through these terms and conditions (“Terms of Use”) and the privacy policy available at (“Privacy Policy”) before you decide to access the Website or avail the services made available on the Website by Jiffy Cars. These Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, [Cancellation & Refund Policy and Rescheduling Policy] together constitute a legal agreement (“Agreement”) between you and Jiffy Cars in connection with your visit to the Website and your use of the Services (as defined below).

Definitions:

  • “Certified Vendors” means car rental companies who hold valid self drive license as per Rent a Cab Act under Motor Vehicle Act, 1989 and is in partnership with Jiffycars.
  • “Certified Self Drive Cars”, “Vehicle” means cars which are entitled to be hired for a consideration.
  • “User”, “Customer” ,”You”,”Yours” “Hirer” means any person who is a registered member/s of Jiffy cars by providing his /her personal details such as Name, mobile number, e-mail address, Address of Residence, Id copy of Driving license, ID copy of Passport / Aadhar Card / Voters ID for Hiring its vehicle
  • 1. “Schedule of Charges” means the charges levied by Jiffycars on behalf of it’s Certified Vendors to cover the desired interests of its vendors
Conditions for Hiring a Vehicle through JiffyCars.in

I. Eligibility Conditions / Conditions for Reservation

  1. You must be 22 years of age or older to register with the Website and you acknowledge and agree that you hold a valid driving license that qualifies you to use the Services within the territory of India, or visit or use the Website in any manner. By registering, visiting and using the Website or accepting this Agreement, you acknowledge that you have the right, authority and capacity to use the Website and the Services available through the Website, and agree to and abide by this Agreement.
  2. You must register with the Website by providing your Name, Age, Email address, Mobile Number and create an account for yourself. You must thereafterlogin to your account using the accounts details (“Account details”) provided by you during the course of your registration with the Website. Once you have entered into your account using the Account details created, you may avail the Services by choosing any vehicle of your choice listed by Jiffy Cars on the Website.
  3. You agree and acknowledge that you hold a valid credit card, debit card or net banking account in your name to remit payment (“Payment Mode”) towards the Services rendered by You from Jiffy Cars. You agree and acknowledge that any or all paymentsare made by you from a credit card, debit card or net banking account in your name and Jiffy Cars will assume no responsibility over any liabilities that may arise over the payments that have been made by you using a payment mode in the name of a third party.
  4. You agree and acknowledge that the payments made by You are processed through server belonging to a third party (“Third Party Gateway”) and that Jiffy Cars has absolutely no control over the servers of such Third Party Gateways.
  5. You agree and acknowledge that payments may not be processed as a result of a disruption in the internet connection used by You or due to a crash of the Third Party Gateway servers or the servers of Jiffy Cars. Please note that in case you do not receive an Electronic Confirmation in spite of being charged on your credit card, debit card or net banking account, please contact our booking helpline at +919686453733 or email us at care@jiffycars.in so that we can assist you in processing a refund of the amount debited. Please note that any such amounts debited will be credited back into your account within 7 business days
  6. Once the vehicle has been delivered to You as per the reservation made by You, you agree and acknowledge to provide to the Jiffy Personnel delivering the vehicle to you with a copy of your Driving License and id proof (Adhaar Card / Passport/Voter’s Id)and also show the orginal document of the same for authentication & validation. You also agree and acknowledge to check the vehicle for any probable defects pursuant to which you shall provide your signature on the Vehicle Acceptance Form a copy which is available herein at (Vehicle_ Acceptance_Form.html) signifying your acceptance of the vehicle in good condition without any defects.

II. User Responsibility

The terms and conditions prescribed below are enforced by the vendors who have listed their vehicles in accordance to Rent a Cab Scheme of Motor Vehicle Act,1989. The User should follow ensure the following terms and conditions are followed while hiring the car from Jiffycars.

  1. The vehicle should be used by a registered member of Jiffycars and should be the same person who have made Reservation in Jiffycars.
  2. The User should not sub-let /sub-lease the vehicle or its use to any other person whomsoever.
  3. The User is not allowed to take the vehicle outside India.
  4. The User is the solo custodian of the vehicle during the reservation duration of the vehicle.
  5. The User will be held complete responsiblity of any damages / loses which occur during the time of reservation.
  6. The User shall be solely responsible for payment of any and all toll or other road/parking charges/inter-state taxes /permits charges as applicable during the Hire period.
  7. The User shoud drive strictly in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the manufacture of the vehicle in the manufacturer’s manual supplied along with the vehicle and also strictly in accordance with applicable law of the land.
  8. The User Shall return the vehicle, to the agreed return location and on the date and time of specified in the Reservation sheet, unless the user requests and Jiffycar agrees to an extension.
  9. During an unfortunate event such as accidents , the user should inform Jiffycars through Helpline line provided in its website (Helpline Number : +91 80 61914121).
  10. The User should follow all the compliances mentioned in “Schedule of Charges
  11. The User should pay all charges such as towing charges,impounding charges,toll charges,parking ticket charges during the Rental period.
  12. The User is not permitted to use / drive the Vehicle:
    • To carry number of persons (excluding the driver) exceeding the permissible number specified in MVT Law
    • For illegal or unlawful activity or purpose
    • In any motor events / Rally / Convoy
    • For Speed Test / Driving Test & Learning
    • Beyond the Speed limit of 120 Km/hr
    • Under the influence of alcohol /recreational drugs
    • If the User is having any disability which may cause his/her driving ability or which is likely to cause a source of Danger
    • For Travel outside the boundaries of Republic of India
    • For Travel in regions which are affected by natural calamities / Terrorist active zones
    • For Travel in regions prohibited by law
    • Abandon the Vehicle after an accident
III. Cancellation Policy
  • If cancelled before 24 Hours: 20% of the trip cost will be charged for daily as well as hourly rentals.
  • If cancelled under 24 Hours of Pick-up: 50% of the total trip cost will be charged and NO REFUND will be given for hourly booking reservation.
  • No-Show at the time of pick-up: No refund will be initiated until the user cancels the booking
  • If cancelled after the Vehicle has been picked up: No refund will be processed.
IV. Booking Extension
  • Extension of Booking can be done by calling us on +919902733900 or mailing us at care@jiffycars.in.
  • Extension-during the trip / under 24hrs before the trip: There will be 20% surge charge along with rental charge of the car for the duration of extension. 20% of the surge charge will be calculated on per day bases.
  • Extension before the trip (Before 24 hours): Extension of booking can be done subject to availability of cars. No extension fee is applied. Extension Rental charges should be paid in advance to confirm the booking extension.
V. Refund Policy
  • The refund amount after cancellation fee will be credited back to the User’s bank account in 7 working days. However the user needs to contact his/her banker to check on status as the refund reflection is subject to Card-issuing Bank’s internal terms and conditions.
  • Caution Deposit will be credited back into user’s bank account in 7 working days. However the user needs to contact his/her banker to check on status as the refund reflection is subject to Card issuing Bank’s internal terms and conditions.
  • It is the responsibility of the user to verify his/her bank account for refund
  • Any issues arising out of refund process should be mailed to care@jiffycars.in.
VI. Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling of booking is not possible in current website. The user should cancel the current booking by calling +919902733900 or mailing us at care@jiffycars.in. Cancellation charge may apply. The user should make a new booking to reschedule the booking.

VII. Road Side Assistance / Replacement of Vehicle
  • Jiffycars is a tech platform which manages only the reservation and does lead generation for it’s certified vendors’ cars for a consideration / Reward. Road Side assistance and Replacement vehicles will be provided at the discretion of it’s certified vendor
  • As per Vendor’s Terms & Conditions- Road Side Assistance / Replacement car may be provided in accessible areas (Subject to availability of resources and vehicle segment in the city
  • Jiffycars shall make all efforts to ensure that a solution is derived in such situation for its customers when required.
VIII. Payment / Pricing Policy
  • All Payment for booking of cars through Jiffycars should be done through Debit / Credit Card /Net-Banking only
  • Jiffycars doesn’t accept any cash nor does it swipe any debit/ Credit cards of it’s user at the time of delivery of Cars
  • We don’t entertain any cash payments through our delivery executives unless an official agreement is made between the customer and the company
  • Rs.5000 will be charged as security Deposit towards certain model of cars which will be mentioned in the website at the time of booking
  • Rs.50,000 will be charged as security Deposit towards premium models of cars and this will be mentioned at the time of booking in the website
  • Delivery charge mentioned in jiffy car website is for Bangalore region Only
  • All Payment of Jiffycars are processed through SSL Certified PayU Payment Gateway and does comply with Reserve Bank of India’s rules and regulations
  • The Refund of the Money will be processed in 24hrs after the time of drop of the Vehicle
  • Any discount if applied, is discounted from the base price of the cost only
  • The pricing of Vehicles showed in Jiffycars are calculated on hourly basis
  • Weekday Price: This is applicable from Monday Mid-night till Thursday Mid-night
  • Weekend Price: This applicable from Friday Mid-night till Sunday-Mid-night
  • Peak Season Price: This is applicable to certain day / days according to Holiday calendar of India. Please refer Peak Season Rate Card to know the day / days considered as Peak Season charges
  • Jiffycars has the right to change the price of its listed cars as and when required without notification
IX. General Terms
  1. The Hirer takes the Vehicle on hire at his own risk and the Hirer shall be solely liable for any accident, failure or loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may be caused to or occasioned by the Hirer in connection with or incidental to the provision of the Rent-A-Cab services on a self-drive basis. Jiffycars and its certified vendors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, costs, charges or expenses whatsoever that may be caused to or occasioned by the Hirer or any other person seated in the Vehicle
  2. The Hirer shall not make any addition or alteration to the Vehicle or carry out or replace any parts of the Vehicle. The Hirer shall ensure that distinguishing marks carried or exhibited in or on the Vehicle is / are not removed and that he / she shall not tamper with or damage the odometer or any other accessories fitted in the Vehicle and in case aforesaid is done, the Hirer shall be solely liable to replace the same at his / her own cost and consequences and also be liable for payment of charges as stipulated in the Schedule of Charges and any other charges incidental and ancillary thereto
  3. The Hirer shall return the Vehicle in clean, good order and condition in which the Vehicle was provided by Jiffycars Personal or prior to commencement of the Hire Period. In the event the Hirer returns the Vehicle with an unreasonable or unacceptable level of wear and tear, then in that case the Hirer shall, at sole discretion of Jiffycar’s certified vendors, be liable to bear all costs and charges for refurbishing/repairing the Vehicle depending on the condition of the Vehicle at the time of its return. Furthermore, any and all decision made by Jiffycars or its certified vendor in this regard shall be final and binding on the Hirer
  4. The Hirer shall allow the official of Jiffycars or its certified Vendor to inspect the Vehicle when the same is delivered back
  5. In case of any offence under any traffic rules or violation of any law, statute or regulation by the Hirer, the Hirer shall alone be responsible and liable for the said offence or violation and shall be solely liable to pay the amount of any fine/penalty, likely to be imposed or levied by any government authority in that regard. If, however, the Hirer fails to pay the same, Jiffycars shall pay that amount and the same will be adjusted against the Security Deposit or recover from any other credit balance available in the account of the Hirer or may at a later date recover from Hirer along with charges as stipulated in the Schedule of Charges
  6. The Hirer shall inspect the Vehicle for any of its luggage and/or items at the time of handing over the delivery of the Vehicle back to Jiffycar’s Staff or its’ certified Vendor. Jiffycars and its certified vendors shall not be responsible for any luggage and/or items left in the Vehicle by the Hirer and/or the co passengers
  7. If a third party lays claim to or detains the Vehicle or otherwise take any action in respect of the Vehicle, the Hirer shall take immediate action to ensure that the Vehicle is released from such detention and / or such claim is fully satisfied by the Hirer in that regard. If the Hirer loses legal or physical control of the Vehicle, the Hirer shall inform Jiffycars within four hours and if necessary, take appropriate measures to ensure recovering legal and physical control of the Vehicle. Jiffycars and its Vendors may take any and all actions in the interests of protecting its rights, not excluding action in the name of the Hirer. The costs incurred as a result of any action as stated herein are to be borne by the Hirer and payment shall for this cost shall be appropriated from the Security Deposit held by Jiffycars and if the Security Deposit amount fall short of payments due, Jiffycars will have right to raise a payment link to it’s customer for payment of balance amount to cover the additional charges imposed
  8. The Hirer hereby undertakes to abide by existing legislation pertaining to the use of Vehicle when a border is crossed. If, due to non-compliance with the foregoing, the authorities temporarily or permanently impound the Vehicle, all the costs, charges and expenses including fines, charges incurred / to be incurred to ensure that the Vehicle is released at the earliest , shall be borne by the Hirer
  9. The Hirer shall return the Vehicle with the same level of fuel as at the time of pick-up. If the Vehicles is returned with lesser fuel, the Hirer shall pay to Jiffycars the cost of the fuel required to fill the tank to the initial level. The decision of Jiffycars’ vendors in this regard shall be final in determining the number of liters required to fill the fuel tank to the initial level. If the vehicle is returned with excess fuel, JiffyCars will not refund the cost of excess fuel in the car
  10. The Hirer shall take possession of the Vehicle from the pickup point specified in the Reservation Details
  11. Upon completion of the Hire Period or the Extended Hire Period, as the case may be, the Hirer agrees to return the Vehicle to the agreed return location and on the date and time (unless extended with consent of Jiffycars) specified in the Reservation Details. If the Hirer desires to return the Vehicle at a different location within the same city then he / she shall be liable to pay the charges as stipulated in Schedule of Charges. Under no circumstances shall the Hirer attempt to return the Vehicle in a city which is different than the city in which the Vehicle was delivered to him / her. If he / she does so, the Hirer shall be liable to pay charges as stipulated in the Schedule of Charges
  12. The Vehicle shall be returned in the same conditions in which the Vehicle was taken at the time of commencement of Hire Period along with following
    • With tyres, tools, accessories and equipment
    • Manufacturer Manual, warranties and other documents furnished by the Manufacturer in respect of the Vehicle
    • Copies of registration certificate and the insurance policy (Car Documents)
    • Keys (original) of the Vehicle and accessories of the Vehicle
  13. If Hirer fails to handover any one or all of the above at the time of returning of the Vehicle, he / she will be liable to pay charges as stipulated in the Schedule of Charges and any incidental or ancillary thereto
X. Insurance of Vehicle
  1. All Cars listed in Jiffycars has comprehensive insurance and the certified Vendors will ensure that all Vehicles are insured at all time during Hire Period
  2. The Hirer shall not do or omit to do or be done or permit or suffer any act, which might or could prejudicially vitiate or affect the insurance of the Vehicle. Upon the happening of any such event that causes any damage, accident or loss to the Vehicle and/or its accessories, including but not limited to an accident, theft, damage caused by a fire explosion, self-ignition or lightening, burglary, riot, earthquake, flood, hurricane, storm, tempest, cyclone, frost, malicious act and/or terrorist activity, the Hirer shall immediately notify to Jiffycars or it’s Certified vendor from whom the vehicle is hired by telephone of such damage or loss relating to the Vehicle and shall confirm this in writing, within 4 hours of the occurrence of such event causing loss and/or damage to the Vehicle
  3. The Hirer undertakes to facilitate the settlement of all cases of damage by providing the relevant information and taking all the steps required for this purpose. Without prejudice to the aforesaid, Jiffycar’s certified vendors shall, at all times, retain the unequivocal right to initiate an investigation in the event of any loss occurrence
  4. Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions contained above, in the event of accident including injuries / damages of the third party or Vehicle(s) OR theft of the Vehicle(s) or any part and/or accessory thereof, the Hirer shall within 4 hours report the same at its own cost to the nearest police station and shall obtain from such police station a copy of the first information report (FIR) and ensure that the Vehicle registration no, chassis and engine number are specified in the FIR
XI. Accidents and Theft of Vehicle

Accident: In case of any accident, in which the Vehicle is involved, during the Hire Period, the Hirer shall furnish to Jiffycars all details in connection with the accident as Jiffycar’s certified vendor may require and shall, if required, attend before the Court or any other authority to give evidence thereof

Theft / Total Loss / Damage of Vehicle: In case of theft / total loss of the Vehicle during Hire Period, the Hirer shall be liable to bear damages as specified herein below:

  • Damage cost up to INR 20,000/- is to be paid by Hirer. In case damage is over INR 20,000, insurance claim will be filed and depreciation amount & parts which are not covered under insurance will be borne by the Hirer. In the event the Hirer found violating Jiffycar’s terms and conditions, the Hirer's maximum liability of INR 20,000 as stated above will not be applicable. In such event, the Hirer shall be liable to pay actual damage cost. The assessment by Jiffycar’s Certified Vendors with regard to damage to the Vehicle shall be final. The Security Deposit paid by the Hirer shall be adjusted against such loss and/or damage
XII. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jiffy Cars, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, licensors, agents, and representatives from any and all third party claims, losses, liability, damages, and/or costs (including reasonable attorney fees and costs) arising from Your access to or use of Services, violation of this Agreement, or infringement, or infringement by any other User of his/her/its account, of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity. Jiffy Cars will notify you promptly of any such claim, loss, liability, or demand, and in addition to your foregoing obligations, you agree to provide us with reasonable assistance, at your expense, in defending any such claim, loss, liability, damage, or cost.

XIII. Law and Dispute Settlement

You agree that this Agreement and any contractual obligation between Jiffy Cars and User will be governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this Agreement to arbitrate, or your use of the Website or the Services or information to which it gives access, shall be determined by arbitration in India, before a sole arbitrator appointed by Jiffy Cars. Arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat of such arbitration shall be Bangalore. All proceedings of such arbitration, including, without limitation, any awards, shall be in the English language. The award shall be final and binding on the parties to the dispute.

Definition of User

“User” shall mean any person who has agreed to become a registered member of Jiffycars.in by providing personal information such as Name, Mobile, E-mail, Copy of driving license and ID proof

Eligibility

The user of Jiffycars should be 22+ years of Age to use the car rental service

The user should have valid National or International Driving permit and should also hold Identification card issued by government body. (Adhaar Card/ Voters ID/ Passport)

User of our self drive car should also hold credit/debit card for making payment online. No cash transactions are allowed

Frequently Asked Questions



Can I rent a car from Jiffycars?

Yes, if you are 22 years old and hold a valid driving license. You need to furnish an ID proof which should be issued at least one year before the pick-up date.

What documents do I need to furnish?

As per the law of the land, you need to provide a photo copy of the original driving license and a valid proof of address and it can be ONE of the following documents:

  • Voters Id
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Passport

You will need to show an original ID proof at the time of pick-up. This is a part of our double-verification process.

Do I need to pay for fuel?

Yes, since our tariff doesn’t include fuel cost. This needs to be borne by whoever is renting the car. We also expect our customers to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as the time of pick-up.

Can I drive the self drive car across India?

All our self drive cars can be driven anywhere across India. However, the inter-state road taxes and road tolls should be paid by the customer while crossing the border of each state.

Will I be charged for over-speeding?

The customer is entitled to drive the rented car up to 120 Kms/hr. Any speeding over 120 Kms/hr will be charged Rs. 1,000. (Refer Schedule of Charges to understand more).

Can I drop the self drive car at a different location?

No, you will be required to drop the car at the location you picked it up from.

Do I get emergency assistance at the time of an unexpected incident like an accident?

Yes, your safety is our main priority. You may call us on +91 80 61914121 for any kind of assistance during any unforeseen event.

Can I travel with my pet in the car?

You may travel with your furry friend at an additional cost of Rs. 1,500 per trip. Additional charges may apply if the car interiors are damaged or returned in a dirty condition. (Refer Schedule of Charges to understand more).

Can I extend my booking?

You may extend your booking by calling our customer care

  • Informed Extension before 24 hours will be charged at Actuals with 20% surcharge
  • Uninformed Extension will be charged at Actuals with 75% surcharge
  • Informed Extension before the start of the Journey will be charged at Actuals. Extension subject to Car availability

A payment link will be shared with the customer for further booking extension payment.

What if I return the car late?

We do give our customers 1 hour as buffer time to return the self drive car at the end of the reservation period. One Hour Buffer time is applicable only for cars dropped by Customer. Any subsequent hours of delay will be charged at actuals with 50% surcharge

What is the maximum liability if I damage the car?

The maximum liability for damages will be up to the total Security Deposit paid by the customer. However, it is subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the Terms of Use document.

Do JiffyCars come with Unlimited Kilometres driving option?

Yes, for all cities except Cochin. For Cochin, Unlimited Kilometres drive is available for bookings over 48 hours.
